Have you ever noticed that when a cat does something stupid they walk away with an "I intended to do that." body language?

Don't they though? LOL! My Fatboy doesn't appear to be a cat - he has NO grace whatsoever and when he falls off things he never lands on his feet. You hear a "thud" and then he gets up and walks off as if nothing had happened. So funny.

    Tink,

You don't get it! You have to wait for a cat to want YOU!! They come along and then they own you LOL!

Dogs have people, cats have staff!!! Never a truer word was spoken.

That explains why I don't have one. :aniflower:I have enough trouble trying to convince my daughter that *I* am the matriarch around here.

Dragoness always said she'd never have a cat. Well guess what? That was before Merlin moved in. ROFL! Now guess where he sleeps?

On her pillow? LOL I hope he at least shares it with her!

I would gladly take in a friendly cat. But I'm not so sure Chloe would tolerate one. I think Cooper would be fine.

LOL! Yep, sleeps in the bed with her and her husband.

I don't think Chloe would have much choice if a cat decided to move in. Dogs (as long as they're not vicious) tend to have to put up and shut up because cats can hide in places they can't get to.

I remember my cat Penny tormenting the life out of Charley (Bassett Hound) - Charley would be trying to sleep on the settee, minding her own business and along would come Penny, standing up on her back legs to reach her and smacking her nose until Charley woke up and chased her. Her other trick was to wait for Charley in the garden then when she walked past she would leap out at her, doing the "arched back, springing sideways" thing that you think only cartoon cats do. For years after Penny died Charley would be afraid to go into the garden when it was dark.
